questions:
1- How was

kings and their people usually do before and after a coronation?
Usually
there is a parade through the city before and after the actual crowning. The
King will also meet important people from his country and from other countries.
10-How do
people react to the King riding alone in the old part of the town?
The narrow
streets were lined with hundreds of people. First people talked quietly, but
then cheered. Although some people
smiled and cheered, others were quiet and looked at him angrily. Rassendyll saw
many paintings of the Duke in their windows and he knew what they thought of
me.
11-What did the Princess say about the
King’s riding alone in the old town?
She thought
it was thoughtful of him to do that. It was strange, too.
12-How do
Sapt and Rassendyll get out of the palace? Why do they go this way?
They go
through a secret passage in the wall and out of a secret back door. They do
this because they don’t want anyone to see them and they want people to think
that the King is in his bedroom.
13-Rassendyll
decides to keep some of his plans secret from Sapt and Fritz. What are those
plans?
He plans to make
himself popular with the poor people to forgive him if he was discovered and
support him if there was a fight with The Duke,
14- What was
Rassendyll hesitant about? He was hesitant about telling the Princess the
truth, i.e. he was not the real king.

50,000 English pounds and safe journey
to
the borders. Another offer was 1,000,000 gold pieces and safe journey

Rassendyll's bags found at a train station near Zenda? Why is the Chief of
Police looking for Mr Rassendyll?
Rassendyll
had sent the bags ahead to the station on the morning of the day he met the
King in the woods. He never went to the station to get them because he was
pretending to be the King. The Chief of Police is looking for Rassendyll
because he has disappeared. (His family has not heard from him.)
20-What
three pieces of news arrive at Tarlenheim the next day?
The people
of Strelsau heard that the King was badly injured while hunting. The Duke
thought he was badly injured. The Princess ordered Marshall Strakencz to take
her to Tarlenheim to see the King.
